Gerald B. Lee, M.D., Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine in the Section of Allergy and Immunology at the University of Louisville, presented "101 Years of Allergen Immunotherapy" at the University of Louisville Department of Medicine Grand Rounds on April 5, 2012.
Dr. Lee's talk focused on naming the indications for allergen immunotherapy, explaining the mechanisms by which immunotherapy induces immunologic tolerance, discussing the evidence demonstrating the clinical efficacy of immunotherapy, and discussing the evidence demonstrating the economic efficacy of immunotherapy.
