  • There are crazy people at dell!

  • Considering how bloody difficult it is to do the upgrade (well, easy for me now), yeah, I'm inclined to agree. Especially considering it would be so easy to have put an access hatch right there.

  • Can a faster processor be put in the 10v ?

  • Theoretically, yes. In reality, no. The reason being is that the CPU is soldered onto the motherboard.

  • What a PITA to just change out some RAM!!

  • Definitaly a PITA. But, IMHO, it was worth it. Would be nice if they made it easier, but I digress.. Probably designed like that to keep Microsoft happy.

  • why couldn't dell just put a door to access the ram from bottom of the netbook?

  • "I'm not actually sure what this cable is for..." :D

  • the title says upgade not upgrade

  • Awesome!! Thank you for this video from Spain! I have been able to upgrade to 2GB :)

  • The tutorial is great! Thank You!

Following the steps I successfully upgraded to 2 GB, hopefully adding some longevity to my wee little mini. If the performance is no better, well I'm only out $30.

I had a problem with the first power up. No Dell splash screen only continual beeps. So I reversed the steps checking all the connections and found the new memory stick was not completly seated (one side was not clicked in). After securing it, backtracked my way out, and she booted up. Yay!

  • i want to upgread to 4 GB. is it possible?

  • WTH.....Insanity.....I wanted to upgrade with extra ram I had, but it is crazy scary

  • The older model was easier to upgrade, or they could have put a back door to the ram like the mini 9.

  • @omalbari Replacing Components in the MSi Wind is bloddy easy. You just have to remove 9 screws on the bottom, remove the back and you can access everything from the ram slot, hard disk, WiFi Card etc.

  • What was the name of the memory module you bought? I'm looking for one right now
