800 new IRS agents to crack down on tax havens? Wouldn't it be easier to lower corporate tax rates? Which would keep business here and possible create new business. More jobs. Instead this could drive more Companies out of the U.S. If you develop a product to sell in the world wide market would you open your business in the U.S with a 50% tax rate or say Ireland with a 12.5% tax rate. Companies he is after have businesses abroad and in the U.S. This will just drive their U.S. part abroad.

shutdpwn funding on research projects and space exploration temporarily till the economy gets better. stop hiring new federal employees and make current employees multitasks.emphazise recycling and conserve on paper,power etc. and control gov't issued credit cards.. the word is teamwork,conservation and austerity and work efficiently.

Money not spent on gas would likely stay in the country and be spent on something else, increasing tax revenue in that area. There would also be less demand on the government for social services. The roads would have less demand on them and require less investment. Just changing zoning laws to go to a compartmentalized structure would cause new construction & repurposed buildings to conform with the framework over time.

But you're blaming a price increase on a bill that hasn't even passed yet and on a guy who's been in office far less than 100 days.

Oh and by the way, how is your grand plan going to pay for itself? The government doesn't pay for gas, we do. We also pay a large gas tax (loss of revenue there) and the taxes paid by gas companies feed the beast too. But you're not interested in tax revenue. You just want the numbers to go away.

Because if you knew anything part of obama's health plan to raise revenue is to have increased ciggarrette taxes. And if you knew anything about taxes, companies pass on the tax to the consumer.
