After MANY years in the military and seeing PILES of old maps, I'll tell you what's down those roads - NOTHING. The roads used to lead to and around old buildings, offices, barracks, storage, etc. that are no longer there. It's the same as on many military installations around the country.

ORNL (K-25, Y-12, X-10) was just one complex out of several places used during the Manhattan project. There are also Savannah River, Los Alamos, a now military range in Nevada, Hanford, etc.
