  • Z200a YOU ARE WRONG! if a school has more money what will that school do to make students better?Nothing!those schools will buy furniture, computers and books. books that won't be used because no one will give a shit about.I study at a school that doesn't have a lot of money and the students here are great..and I'm not even in a America, and don't you find is strange that the Czech Republic which is much more poor than America has better students? WHY? because money isn't the issue!!!!!!!!!

  • Did you watch this video? I said that exact same thing, Your right the schools don't need money, at all.

  • You are dead wrong about money. If this has been proven "again and again," why don't you cite some sources? It's BS. Do you know how schools are funded in the US? The truth is that the more money schools have the better the kids do. It's a preposterous absurdity to claim money has nothing to do with it.

  • Um... I guess I could cite some stuff... but could You cite some stuff?

In theory it makes sense. But teachers will suck regardless of what they're paid.

The only reason why any of the statistics changed is because the no child left behind act makes it easier to get good grades.

  • Hey man, I just was looking at some of your other videos and saw you're going to Mott! I live in Midland, just up the road from ya. I used to live in Flint. BTW: Love the Talking Heads!

  • Yeah, your High school was boogus. I knew a girl who went there. And it really did need money. But for my school, it was poor spending.

  • Just one other thing: I don't know why you so drastically understate how much education you recieved in school. You make it sound like you never learned anything except one thing in 9th grade. Come on, you have far more knowledge you picked up in the schools than you realize.

BTW: What school district did you go to? If you don't want to reveal that, was it urban, rural, suburban?

  • In poor school districts without high-value property, the schools barely get by. They can't afford textbooks, computers, good teachers, lab equipment, etc. You should see this with your own eyes because it's truly depressing. I've seen schools with holes in the wall that went unrepaired for years.

  • Schools are mainly funded in America by local taxes -- property taxes. So if you come from an area with high value property, the schools will flourish. And it's a simple matter of looking at school performance in these areas; the stats are publically available. These schools have much better equipment and can afford to hire the best teachers.
