Smoking Bans are not the answer. The choice should be in the hands of the people and the pubs. Divide pubs in Smoking and Non-smoking areas, along with adequate ventilation! Allow Smoking Rooms in workplaces. The demonising of smokers is discrimination of the worst sort. Need no "Nanny State" micromanaging our lives! The zealous anti-smoking lobby wants it all their way, by peddling lies about SHS! They simply don't like the smell! FREEDOM OF CHOICE - STAND UP FOR YOUR CIVIL LIBERTIES!

Pity the real cost of this spiteful ban has to be job losses, businesses closed, lost tax revenue and loss of social cohesion. ALL based on lies and selective science by charities paid for with public money and spoon fed to a gullible government. Choice of smoking or non smoking venues would have saved all of this nonsense.

Girl at 2:03 says 'if you want to smoke, thats your choice go outside, thats perfectly reasonable'. Thats like me saying its perfectly reasonable for people who don't want to smoke to go outside and breathe the apparant CLEAN air.

continuation...search for "Velvet Glove, Iron Fist" by Christopher Snowdon and read official facts like this - 25.11.08: Scottish government quietly releases final figures for hospital admissions since the smoke-free legislation. Acute coronary syndrome admissions fell by just 7.2% in year one - in line with the long-term downward trend - before rising by 7.8% in year two.

and btw heart attack rates actually went up in Scotland since the smoking ban-wow- so it is actually killing people rather than saving lives! Or maybe not- not easy to prove a heart attack cause since they usually are by a variety of sources!!
It seems that this vid keeps referring back to the 17% drop in heart attacks in the first year of the Scottish ban. Sorry to disappoint viewers, but this 'miracle' never happened. Go and see "The facts in the way of a good story" BBC News Channel 14.11.07 and for the official news that the heart attack rate has actually gone up in the second year.

Strange how the heart disease figure of 17% was proved to be factually incorrect. The latest published heart disease figures in Scotland show that they have increased.
So smoking bans actually increase your risk of heart Disease.
