Gleason set them up, and Meadows knocked them down. She knew exactly how to play Alice-sticking a pin into a big windbag. She always said she thought Alice was the first woman's libber, and she was right. Plus, she did it all live, with barely any rehearsal.

note: her tombstone read 1926 (as year of birth), but evidence proves that false, in TWO mixups/mishaps.
1. confused with the currently living sister Jayne, who claimed to be 1926.
2. Jayne's NOT EVEN born in 1926, she only said that to seem younger than Audrey.
A lie and then a confusion. (as new saying goes, "days before wide-internet")

OMG. I Hate that her and jackie both died of cancer. But, The Honeymooners was such a good show. Jackie was hilarious. Art was Priceless and Audrey was Beautiful And Hilarious. No-one will ever replace the show or the actors in it

I always felt that "Ralph" Knew that he was really lucky that he married "Alice"..he felt his life was a failure but he knew she was one treasure in life.
