I think SirisStudio Pro is an awesome solution

We have the perfect hardware solution for Academy Mobile platform. Our desktop video studio, Siris Studio Pro, enables professional user generated content. It is a self-service video workstation that allows professionals and amateurs alike to produce studio-quality video and audio presentations without the need for training, a costly professional crew, or a dedicated facility.

This looks extremely promising. Although I still don't have a crystal clear picture of its purpose, I have to admit that I like what I see.
Who's the target audience for Acadmey Mobile?

Initially, the target audience for Academy Mobile is going to be Microsoft internal employees. But we are working toward productizing this experience, so that other corporations will be able to install the application and start sharing knowledge inside their own organizations

Thanks for your quick reply.
I have to admit, just looking at the screenshots is a unique experience. Plus the idea of building it with Sharepoint 2007 gives a tremendous amount of flexibility with the application. But what do you exactly mean by "sharing knowledge"? What kind of knowledge are we talking about here? Do you mind giving an example?
arzo2000 4 years ago
Our definition of knowledge is broad: e.g. an exec communication, a best practice by a sales rep, an idea for a new invention by an employee, a how-to guide by a program manager, a product positioning by the marketing team, a customer testimonial...

It's about time that Microsoft enters the podcasting business. This application looks really cool. Is it available somewhere to use / download?

We haven't disclosed any specific plans yet on making Academy Mobile available to the general public, but it's surely something we are looking into.
