I suck at guitar; was waiting for a ride to pick me up at any second and was rushing - that's why I keep turning around; was super high from WAAAAY too much caffeine; and the guitar was un-intonated so I couldn't have tuned it during the vid even if I had wanted to - which, I didn't. So there. The bridge finally rendered the guitar unplayable at the end - mercifully. Great crotch shot, eh! How bout that restless leg syndrome, too!
Riffs attempted: Good Lovin by the Young Rascals; Feel Like Makin Love by Bad Company; Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash; Rock You Like a Hurricane by the Scorpions; Stranglehold, Motor City Madhouse, Wang Dang Sweet Poontang & Home Bound by Ted Nugent; Jailbreak by Thin Lizzy; Hair of the Dog by Nazareth; Sad But True by Metallica; Can't You Hear Me Knocking by the Rolling Stones; Tush by ZZ Top; Problem Child and Shake Your Foundation by AC/DC

  • I didn't realize this comment went through so I didn't follow up after my alotted digits expired... You adjust the position of the bridge until the harmonic and the fretted tone match with no pitch shift. With a one-piece bridge-theoretically you are just setting low and hi E this way and you can check all the other strings for kicks. With individual saddles it's more involved and with a floyd, much more involved. Glad to help. Your freeform vid with self-dep humor is what makes YT fun...

  • @bugietube You're AWESOME, Bugie - a million THANKS!! YOU are what makes YT WORTHWHILE!

  • Thx...Setting intonation is not too hard-there may even be a 'shadow' line from where the bridge was originally set from light-fade or dirt and oils. If you don't know the harmonic trick at the 17th(?) fret you could try measuring the NUT-to-LOW E and NUT-to-HIGH E distance on one of your guitars that does intonate nicely (tune it-play an open C at the nut; NICE? Play an open C above the 12th fret; Still nice? It's probably intonated. Measure low and high and set Ibanez bridge there to start

  • @bugietube AWESOME, Bugie! MUCH MUCH appreciated!! Any suggestions for intonation on a fixed bridge with a stop tail? What IS the "harmonic trick" to which you refer? I've only been playing for about a year and a half now and I don't read music or know any notes/scales,etc-as I've never taken lessons. So, basically-I'm pretty damn ignorant about the whole playing of guitars. I'm just a long time collector who one day decided to try and play the damn things to better appreciate them lol

  • @bugietube Anyway - I am VERY grateful for any and all help/tips you'd care to share with me at your convenience!

  • ESPN dude, He...could...tune...all..the...way...

  • @bugietube HAHAHA!!!! FINALLY: someone with a sense of HUMOR! WELCOME!!!

  • You will have to tune and retune but not as much as with a guitar with individually adjustable saddles. Your Ibanez has a one-piece bridge. Notice it has staggered positions in the wooden or poly bridge. Low e is furthest back, then A, D, and G are stepped successively closer and then B and High E are set back (?) (sometime they are stepped [intonated] as groups of three strings. Hit the harmonic on the 17th fret and quickly finger the note after hearing the tone-then hearing both tones...

  • @jlgis77 Gosh, how profound.

  • idiot....
