I love the HD2, but wish it was android.. tho it's not even available in US right? I don't know why the Desire isn't in America.
Not sure when wife has upgrade coming, but if she did, I could give my Eris to my wife (who has LG Dare), sell the Dare on eBay to offset the contract cost of the Incredible. I just wanna see how it feels 1st cause it's a different size than Eris.

email pushing is hit or miss. sometimes it's great sometimes its bad. processor won't be able to keep up with everything it does over the course of the next year, wish it was faster. you have to manage the phone and keep on top of it to have it run at optimum speed all the time. overall tho, i wouldn't trade it for any phone on the market.. for many reasons

how good is this phone, What are your biggest problems with it?
do you have to root it to do all of this?

nope u just need a home replacement app like Panda, GDE, aHome, etc. The home will open over android and run in place of HTC Sense. you can switch back & forth once you have opened another home. there are themes or "skins" available for these homes on the market. some are interchangeable, for instance most themes work with Panda, but GDE's don't work with others. And some themes might work with Panda but not as well, for instance, aHome themes work best w/ aHome. Same w Open Home

Watched your vids awhile back. I never really had any questions cause I'm a device geek like you are lol. Done most of everything you have. I was just wondering if you going to upgrade to the HTC Incredible when it comes out????? Pretty sure you've seen it already. Its just a better Eris plain and simple. Same power as the HTC HD2 right? and the HTC Desire is an Eris in Nexus One form. Imagine what we can do with an Eris on steroids lol.

1 more thing that will factor into it is, will some of my fav. apps work with eclair. If you read alot of comments on the market, the most common phrase is "Don't work on Droid". Most developers acknowledge the issue of their apps w/2.0.1
