Playing on a street piano in a park in London

About Street Pianos : London 2010

21 street pianos have been placed throughout the 'square mile' and beyond from 22 June -- 10 July 2010 to celebrate the City of London Festival. Located in public gardens, streets and squares the pianos are available for anyone to play.

Quick question: Do they move the pianos inside if it starts raining?

@DallasGuyZ They have plastic covers over the pianos if it rains. They have a team who look after these pianos.

That is so nice of them to put pianos in the street like that, they couldn't do it where I live, someone would take it. But what is even better is to be lucky enough to hear you play one!! Great, as always!!

@MrMax89 Thanks MrMax! Been a while since my last vid hey! :) Well, they have chained the piano's down... but yes it is quite cool to have pianos out on the street like this!

@an80sGuy Actually they have this on in New York at the moment too. Apparently tonight 5pm GMT there is going to be a live link between New York and London.

"London goes live with Times Square, New York, via street piano web link. Guest musicians from the UK and US will play and sing around the pianos for this cross-Atlantic concert, in celebration of outdoor pianos in London and NYC this summer." Check it out on the site streetpianos[dot]com
