    the music attract my attention. The movie had already began since about 30 minute. It sound weirdly like the song of true romance. Then i discovers almost immediately another similarity. The narration. narration. How the girl, the secondary character, sharing her thoughts with the viewer. Even some of her word were almost the same than in true romance. at least in the French version. Therefore, i think that while zimmer honour badland, tarantinon was inspired from badland...

    True Romance was Tarantino's remake of Badlands, which was Terrence Malick's film about Charles Starkweather and Caril Ann Fugate, who killed 11 people in 1958.

    this film was and still is one of the best slow burning greats out there. not a lot out there today that comes close. i just love the under tone of the movie 'life goes on'.

    It's Carl Orff's Gassenhauer. If Hans Zimmer 'ripped off' Badlands, then Badlands ripped off the German composer Carl Orff.

    True Romance has about as much in common with Badlands as Badlands has with Bonnie and Clyde.

    I concur, same with QT, he takes a lot from older cinema from which his audience don't watch so he gets credited for the 'originality' and then when he's questioned on it he just says it's a homage ¬_¬
