Roland Burris speaks out about the new facts that surround his appointment. It appears that he commited perjury in the investigaion about the corruption charges againtst Rod Blagojevich that appointed Burris to the senate seat.

Reed's quick acceptance of Burris is highly suspect since Reed just days before promised not to accept any appoitment made by Blagojevich. What tunred him around may have been intense discussions among the democrates about the 60 vote majority that was needed to get all their bills approved by the Senate. Burris could make or break that majority. Reed suddenly decide to accept the corrupt appointment that he rejected earlier.

Today February 15, 2009, the news is out only hours after the 1 trillion dollar spending package was voted on it appears that Burris committed perjury. That is a crime that would exclude him for being accepted in the senate and the senate should therefore not have Burris and his 60th vote.

Questions remain, did Reed know about this perjury and how much did he know about the corrupt appointment. Did Rahm Emanuel make Reed accepts Burris. What did Emanuel know about Burris perjury and other problems?
