Hundreds if not a few thousand stood beside route 301 in front of New Life Church to shield LCPL "TJ" Honeycutt from Westboro Baptist Church protesters. They saw us and went back home.

  • It's things like this that makes me proud to be an American. As a daughter of a former Marine and Vietnam vet I am compelled to say that all soldiers funerals should be treated with such respect. If it weren't for their love for our nation and freedom we wouldn't have all that we have today. LCPL Honeycutt my heart and prayers are with your family at this time. You truly have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. As for WBC read Matthew 7:15. Nothing else needs be said.

  • @Zakadabug Amen to all of what you said!!

  • That is my home town, and being a soldier currently deployed in Iraq it gives me a great sense of joy that there are that many people back home that would sacrifice their day for a fallen soldier. Thank you LCPL Honeycutt you will not be forgotten and thank you all that came out to show your support!

  • @USarmySoldier87 Thank you so very much for serving this great country we live in! It is still an honor to be called an American! May God bless you sir and keep you and all our men and women safe!

  • I'm proud to say my husband was born in La Plata, and is now serving in the U.S. Army. Thank you so much for honoring this brave man! This video brought tears to my eyes.

  • @Swyvill Thank you to one Army wife from one Navy wife. We are all ONE great big family. I thank you and your husband for all the sacrifices you have made for my freedom!

  • As a fellow US Marine from Waldorf. I just want to say that this meant alot to the Marines I serve with, as well as the service members from Charles county. Although we stare death in the face everyday... It's hard to fear it when you get such a warm farewell from your local community. Thanks to everyone who took part in this. Thousands of people will remember this day for the rest of their lives. Rest in Paradise Devil dog... you deserve it.
