Like so many of you I had never seen this loco in the flesh before.
For me she was the star of the show at the SVR Autumn Gala It was a real coup for the SVR to get this loco for the Autumn Gala.
It was the locos first working appearance outside Scotland & the first time in steam outside the Strathspey Railway.
The Caledonian blue livery No. 828 was restored for only the second time in preservation in July 2010.
No. 828 (BR No. 57566) was originally allocated to Ardrossan shed (67D) on the North Ayrshire coast.
What wonderful little engine. Theres's something about blue engines.
