  • He is so full of garbage.... He tell us what we want to hear, but it isn't working. He's really just using this 'crisis' to push a leftist agenda on the nation. Seriously, break his speech down and see what it really means in the long run.

  • Also...

I used the phrase 'psychological warfare' to dramatize the concept that you were using a technique to attack your opponent in discussion rather than engage in rational dialogue.

The phrase is used all the time to describe similar tactics in sports & even in discussion.

Try sticking to rational debate, instead of using attacks on my intergrity & then moving to watered down attacks based on use of my language.

  • Chomsky is not a liberal, he's an Anarchist.

Tell the truth, Neo-liberal policies of the Reagan/Bush/Friedman type have gotten us into the mess we are in today, particularly the deregulating & relaxation policies that allowed the banks to shift from the saturated credit market into Alt-A & subprime in an attempt to avert the inevitable recession/depression that comes at the end of every Capitalist boom period....not reformed hippies & certainly not Anarcho-Syndicalists.

  • Why do I care about what Chomsky has to say about this. He's a liberal who jumped on the anti-vietnam hippy bandwagon. Those enlightened hippies have all grown up and are running the government today, and look at the mess they've got us in! I'll be honest, I don't like the government at all. I'm conservative but I hate repubs and dems equally, they're both corrupt frauds, but your ideas don't seem to make any sense in the real world. I mean, who calls an insult, "psychological warfare...."

  • Shame you feel that you have to resort to a form of psychological warfare (hurling insults) in order to discuss things.

Some of the greatest thinkers who ever lived were anarchists.

Chomsky - who is not only considered one of the greatest intellectuals in the world (prospect magazine voted him the most important intellectual alive), but was at one time the most quoted living scholar - is an anarchist.

  • I appreciate the online-doing of Obama. World will see how long this will reach. He has all my best wishes. - kautokeine / Germany

  • I'm speechless. Please don't ever come out of your parents basement and into the real world. Please.

  • No, your suggestion wouldn't be freedom, just like the current system that we call free, isn't either.

But other systems would be, for instance an anarcho-syndicalist system, where the people seized power for them selves & self governed & participated in politics for themselves, rather than voted for people who ignored their interests & only looked after the interests of the highest bidders...ie the rich elites...who own most of the land.

& the past doesn't justify current injustices.
