Not necessarily. If the cop got to his gun first and drew it, then obviously the perp does not have the gun and is unarmed, so shooting him would be murder, unless the perp continued after the cop, which would be unlikely as he is face down with two cops on him.

No, you misunderstood me. I'm all for arming of citizens with virtually any kind of weapon. I'm saying that the cops are usually opposed to an armed population... which is true.

Oh sure because the same thing has happened with law abiding citizens with CCW permits. The same bull shit was preached by the anti gun crowd when Right to Carry was spreading like wildfire. I guess you would rather people carry a sharp ball point pen and stab someone in the eye than use a Taser. Oh and don't forget that when you buy a Taser it won't even work until you submit to a background check plus every time its fired it leaves an AFID calling card at the scene of the crime.

I GUARRANTEE you that cops would NOT want every pedestrian walking around with tasers. Why? Because they don't want the public to have ANY kind of personal power or control and they have been brainwashed into believing that the general public is untrustworthy and irresponsible... And they certainly wouldn't want someone to sneak-up on them from behind and tase their asses and then steal their gun.
