First year nursing student Thomas Trego says that going back to school at age 50 plus was easy. He found the instructors approachable and the curriculum enjoyable. The college's convenient location is a big plus, says Trego. He also found a friendly environment at the college, where he wasn't lost in a crowd. Trego is attending a nursing program at Cape Cod Community College. He's planning a second career in nursing, and says, "If you are thinking about changing career directions, this is a great opportunity to do it." He's found community college to be a rewarding step for himself, noting, "This is one of the best things I've done for myself in a long, long time." He is planning to complete his coursework and take the nursing exam.
