Ps the blooper where you ran into the screen was really funny! I almost rofl'd!

so does this have to do with the fact that reality is what we can see touch smell, etc? Is this like a pro-empiricism thing? I had to read this in philosophy but I can't really understand what it has to do with humans.

Very cool video. This has inspired the first 4 paragraphs of my essay on Plato's Cave Allegory for Philosophy class.....I hope that nugget of info flatters! All of those that don't think you went "deep enough" into the meaning of the cave allegory clearly don't realize that this concept goes over the heads of many and needs a simplistic interpretation if it is going to bypass the same ignorance Plato's allegory encompasses. Job well-done, Sir! :)

@prettyparadoxal The shadows represent material events.
See my video entitled, "Cave Allegory: Theism Vs. atheist Dogma" for a complete explanation of what this allegory means.

Your version looked promising until 1:50ish hit and it all went to shits, you have to realise that you would have to drag the prisoner away from what he perceives as his world (the shadows), when you do so and show him what really is producing these shadows he will deny that to be the truth and think the shadows are the truth, since he has never learned anything beyond the bold echo's and shadows in the cave, but as time passes he realises that what the world he is in now is actually real

How did they feed the prisoners?

It's interesting to read some of these comments. The guy in the video is a Pastor in my church, and he did this video for a sermon a few years back. I'm with HSO82, feel free to start a discussion here if you want.
