You, my friend are what Maher calls a Rationalist and what most call an Agnostic. Join the Club of doubt!

"Neitszche was amoral, he didn't believe anything to be right or wrong, let alone virtuous."
Is this a moral statement about how people should view morality? There is no such thing as an amoral. we all make desicions everyday that are right and wrong based on some "moral" or judicial system.

7. He didn't mind, Neitszche was amoral, he didn't believe anything to be right or wrong, let alone virtuous. So helping an old lady cross the street isn't a good thing in Nietzsche's eyes but it isn't a bad thing, the same way if I stab your throat 72 times isn't really a good thing but not a bad thing either. Do you think me stabbing you 72 times in the throat is a bad thing, I'm sure you would think that, Nietszche didn't, but thanks for clearing up some misconceptions I made..

i guess we can continue arguing on this point. but you're clearly academically superior to me. i think even an atheist and theist can agree on that point. (not being cynical) i admire how you argue my points, but when you keep saying "the almighty creator" and shit like that... well... you sound stupid. at least i knew you read nietzsche, most religious people don't even touch that. i hope you take yourself further intellectually and realize how stupid and false religion is.

@yongngu88:

I didn't say almighty, I said supreme. Supreme implies the common characteristics of God, which is described as the sole reason why we have unalienable rights in the Delceration of Indpendence. The Supreme Being has alot to do with ethics in a nominal sense and has played an important role in building political philosophy, but considering you reject ethics, it really doesn't matter to you.

You obviously are smart, but I suggest you read a little more on philosphy of religion...

yes i have read on philosophy of religions... it hasn't compelled me to become religious.
all i'll say is i was raised protestant christian, and i believed in Jesus, like REALLY did... and believe me i'm still religious to a point. I mean.... i still can't have sex on Christmas, you know what i mean?
