NZ has denied Māori whaling rights in clear violation of the Treaty of Waitangi. Now, the white kiwis are not satisfied by discriminating the people whose land they stole. They decided that they want to deny Japanese whaling tradition.

I am proud to call myself a kiwi! Please NZ government - do not give into pressure from Japan, Norway, Iceland and especially the US. They are barbaric butchers and it is appalling that the Obama administration lacks the transparency they claim they have:
"The proposal does not say exactly how many whales would be killed each year as part of the whaling compromise, which would last for 10 years... "

Thank you New Zealand! Thank you for doing what is right. I believe we will see the end of whaling in the southern ocean before too long. Please talk to the Obama administration; I am ashamed that they are showing support for this proposal.
