Dang. Dionne used to do this song in her stage show. It was just as spectacular, perhaps a tiny, tiny bit shorter, but she did it night after night. I saw her perform it, perhaps a half a dozen times, in Atlantic City. It was quite the treat, as it would gain multiple standing ovations throughout the song by the always flaccid Atlantic City audiences. Whenever I tried to explain this song to friends, I could never give the performance the justice it deserved. Now I can show them! Clay

Well...in all my life...I have NEVER heard Dionne 'throw down' like this before! OMG! Just goes to show when she's got to deliver in front of a house full of stone singers (and auntie Anne Drinkard Moss right there directing choir in back), Dionne kicked her vocal cords in high gear! Loved the look on Anne's face when Dionne held that unexpected note. She smiled and started applauding. This was friggin fantastic! Glory Hallelujah!
