@myRScosworth I think you'll find the youtube clip of the Civic type R vs a Honda CBR600RR explains that the bike was 8 secs faster around Cadwell than the car. I would concede though that you do need to have a greater level of skill to ride a bike fast as opposed to drive a car fast
