My Dad only knew "there is gold in the mountain gold in valley's gold in the river" and sang iyt to us as kids he passed away on Feb 18th 2010 and because you putting this on here we where able to play this after his funeral last Thursday Me and my brother have never laughed and cried so much Thank you helping give my Dad a great send off xx

Eulerian: You hit the nail right on the head. Rex had the best voice of all the cowboy singers, much better than Roy, Gene, or Jimmy Wakely, but the songs they had him sing were mostly forgettable ones. There are a few fair to good ones like "Who Shot The Hole In My Sombrero?", which I wish somebody would upload. Boy, if only he had Marty Robbin's western songs....
