@ThePatriotHour your an idiot. We are not in this mess solely because of Bush/Cheney. The economy downturn started when Allen Greenspan and Clinton deregulated banks which caused the housing market bubble and banks giving away loans for houses as if it were candy. Now, Bush added to the problem when we went to Iraq. Remeber you dumbass, most economic downturns are caused way before they can predicted.

The national endowment of the arts only spends a few hundred million dollars a year which is a very very small amount of the budget.

@achtung26 No he wasn't. He misspoke. He meant to say 47 states, as in the continental US. It was not a joke, it was a misstatement. It's not the misstatement that was pounced on, it was "What if Palin or Bush said that?" You would be on the other side ridiculing them for being stupid. But he gets a pass. And he should. It was a misstatement.

thebeattitudes-Sure, dems are now in charge but you are missing the point entirely. Problems did not start with Obama. Republican ideology caused the mess and Allen Greenspan admitted it. The accepted course of action in such situations as we are in is to buy our way out of the problem which is exactly what Obama is attempting to do. Since Bush has been in power during the last 8yrs and dems did not control congress untill Jan. 2007 it is quite obvious as to who caused this mess.
