I checked the Rolling Stones' version of this, and it was the first time I chose to listen to a Stones' song, and I like Farlowe's more.

It might interest you to know that Paint it Black was written by Jagger-Richards specifically for Chris Farlowe and that this recording (indeed on Immediate) was produced by Mick Jagger. So knock off the damned pissing contest and enjoy a masterpiece.
