  • Oh one more thing what should I use as a filter for the output pipe. What did you use that is shown on the video. Thanks

  • @ronknight1010 I used a air filter meant for filtering air compressor outputs, it does a poor job at minimizing oil mist output, so you'll need to find a better solution.

  • Thanks aonomus. I found out I needed to connect a start capacitor with a similar setup as yours. Thanks again for responding so quickly. By the way were did you get that button and switch?

  • @ronknight1010 Local farm supply store, though any industrial electrical supply business will do. Be careful with this manual start method, it is possible and likely that you can damage the start winding and possibly trip the fuse/breaker.

  • Can you please make a video on how to wire up the start and run wiring system. I have all the parts but I dont know how to wire them properly.

  • @ronknight1010 I don't have much time to do a video at the moment, though there are many videos on this subject on youtube (thats how I started my learning). Basically the start winding creates a magnetic field that is much stronger (to overcome the starting resistance) by drawing lots of current, while the run winding is enough to sustain operation. You can manually trigger the start winding (dangerous at times), or use a relay designed to start compressors.

  • @demnlordd666 another question, is there any way to salvage one from an old car?, Is it the same kind of compressor? I am just looking for bench top vac for experiments, some use reduced pressure evaporation and filtration, I am just thinking of the pick-n-pull type places near me that will let ya pull off darn near anything for 10$, as long as you don't NEED it for your CAR.

  • Why not use an water aspirator, they are cheap and sturdy and are perfect for anything but very high temp distillations.

  • very nice video.. thank you for the idea.. the only i need is the waring diagram can you send it to me if is posible ?

    thank you

  • brilliant thankyou

  • Tis a bad idea to mix ester oil with mineral oil.

  • You asked me rate and comment so here goes. Over all I think it is one of the better DIY vids on UT. But here are some ideas to make your vids better. I took a public speaking class many years ago and I learned the value of writing down what I was going to say before i said it. In other words write a script. Then go over the script by reading it OUT LOUD. I know that looks like I am shouting but I am just trying to add emphasis. These steps will make your vids 1000 percent better.

  • or if you don't have $100 XD

  • I see you have done a fair amount of work my friend, but I've seen this done by using more of the a/c parts which are more user friendly..

  • i'll post a video response of a rotary pump with vanes. cause i have a cheap compressor i'm working on and i have a slo-motion camera so it should explain pretty well how the vanes move.
