English Heritage's regional outreach officer worked in partnership with the Libra Theatre Company (an integrated ability group), Past Imagined (Historical Tale Tellers) and the castle staff to offer a fantastic free day out.

Entertainment at Orford Castle included short historic tableaux of Kings and Queens, music, dance and medieval storytelling.

Heritage Open Days is Europe's biggest heritage event. More than 3,000 buildings in England, including factories, mosques, windmills and town halls open their doors to the public for free.

The English Heritage Outreach team works in partnership with the Civic Trust to take Heritage Open Days into areas of the country where there has been no previous participation, and encourage people to open up properties and run activities that reflect England's diverse History.
