At the Conservative party conference, Eric Pickles promises to put an end to Labour power-house of people employed at taxpayers expense in local councils, but do no work other than union stuff. If the union wants people to do union work, let the union pay for it, not the taxpayers.

Recorded from BBC Parliament, 03 October 2011.

  • this man sums up the fat greedy tories,i would send this fat slob to work down a coalmine to do an honest days work, sweat some of the lard off of him.thank god we have got trade unions to help protect the working classes, from the likes of his sort

  • Fat Bloater Jabba i mean Pickels atrtacks the unions for ideological reasons... When has this bloated bastard ever givern value for money..

  • When the bosses want to pick pocket the workers they find it easier to first tie their hands behind their backs ...and this is what pick pocketing Pickles is up to.

  • It was the Tories who voted for library closures in Doncaster, NOT Labour. Sorry, it's Pickles isn't it? How daft of me to expect him to tell the truth.

  • Nothing demoralises and destroys societies more than socialism and empty postmodernist pseudophilosophies.

  • And in other news taxation is down for pie manufacturers

  • Ah, more rhetoric for votes to keep his Political career going.
