I would bet anything that this is a female cat. A lot of female cats have respirtory problems that are more noticable when they are asleep. Hence, the "snoring"...usually it worsens as they age, although most is benign, unless kitty is overweight, where there can be more pressure and strain on the lungs...in that case, you should diet your kitty.....My two are both overweight, but only the female snores......good luck
