Good VID on China. You have to go to Shengzhen where you go to Guangdong, the small village cross the river from Hong kong was the 1st city to open up for China. 2008 is the 30 years from that opening up.

If you get the chance go to Sichuan, you should check out Chongqing, it's a city built on the hills, just like San Francisco, except far bigger. There is also great city Chengdu and nearby pristine natural reserve call Jiou Zhai Gou.

The most amazing thing is that it changes every day and every minute. If you go next year you will find much much new buildings etc. I believe this country is going to prevail pretty soon and look at what they are doing now and what they already got from the history. It is really rich.

Trip to China is much cheaper comparing with most other destinations due to the low cost in China and devalued Chinese currency, RMB. Round trip flight is about $800 from NYC. 3-stars hotel is less than $40 per day in Beijing, Shanghai and even cheaper in other cities. Food price is almost next to nothing if you don't go to those deluxe restaurants.
