If people were married when they have sex, you wouldn't have to worry about std's, your baby being considered a bastard, or worrying about the Child's father denying the baby.

Basicly what I got from that and many other comments was: A girl named "Discogurl" telling me if ppl would just wait til marriage to do anything with a loved one there would be NO STD'S & FATHERLESS babies being born... & the world would be fuking perfect and money would grow on trees! LMAO RIGHT!

Its not always just a "vow before God," because not all ppl believe in God, again thats a personal option. Ppl get marred because they believe they love each other enough to do so, & thats great. In some cases it is just a ring & a paper thats why we have ppl who get devorced because to them is was nothing but that. All im saying is that marriage doesnt keep ppl safe from STDs & fatherless babies.

I've never heard "you know what I mean" so many times, but I suppose that's besides the point. The decision to have sex before marriage is obviously a choice people should make for themselves, I'm 20, and I think this generation is too sexually active, statistically speaking. We have a huge problem with std's and aids in North America, not to mention unwanted pregnancy. Any your constant swearing lessens the integrity of your speech, it is hard to take you seriously when you speak that way.

I know about the "man shall cleave to his wife and the two shall become one flesh" thing. But when you take that, then take into account that sexual sins are specifically mentioned [like Leviticus] in scripture, but premarital sex between a man and woman in a relationship or engagement is mentioned NOWHERE, and what fornication's root words actually mean, the context is saying that marriage should be [at least in Christianity] the ultimate goal for two people, not the sole context for sexuality.

I am Christian, and have looked in scripture for the obvious condemnations that say specifically [to paraphrase] "if you do it before marriage in a committed and loving relationship, or within an engagement you are sinning", but I can not find it.

I've found several or more websites and even youtube videos that discuss the eytomology [or word history] of the term "fornication", the preceding root words of Latin "fornix" and Greek "pornea", and they mean something different from what many think.

While I do respect your opinion, don't you think marriage is a covanet and more than a piece of paper? and for a lot of people it is a spiritual thing.and about the kissing hugging and touching thing, some people don't even kiss till their wedding day. I do plan to wait till my wedding day but I do respect your opinion, but their woman that posted the comment had a good amount of her facts wrong
