@housesolidor No Western media or Shah lovers told me the story. My grandma knew this person's family very well, because they were neighbors. Their son was very outspoken about his conversion to Christianity. Next thing you know he was beaten to death bya group of government-ordered thugs, and his brutally beaten body was thrown in front of his parents' house to be discovered by his devastated mom. That's not the only case. Most people I know have turned their backs on Islam because of brutality

@ameetis I was not referring to goals. I simply wanted you to check who gave you the idea that iran government bad and kills converts solely because the converted their belief. If it was the western media or shah followers than its very likely they are lying. If you are referring to the writer that insulted the prophet then ran to UK, then that is punishment for LYING to cause problem between people that end up in massacres for generation eg between islam and west (like between shia and sunna)

@housesolidor I already know that our beloved Iran is far better than the rest of the countries in the region. Iranians are way more open-minded and liberal than the rest of the Middle Easterns who have lost their power of free thinking due to blindly following the Islamic instructions. But, the Middle East and its conservative an to some degrees backwarded countries should NOT be considered Iran's objective. We have to strive to be the leader of free thinking in the world.

@ameetis1 I can safely say there is more justice in iran than any country in the middle east yet it is now in the axis of evil and should be dealt with so that 9/11 does not happen again and the americans and isreal can sleep happily with no worries that iran might (even though never under this regime) might attack with nuclear (even though they dont have it). Do you see the logic, do you see the evidence, do you see the effect? Its the same country that made iran look bad before, is it not?

@ameetis1 Irans enemies controlled the media more than what they do now (satalites are cheaper now) so they portrait it the way they want without logic let alone evidence. You have obviously witnessed this whilst watching the media today and may fear war soon. Those enemies will benefit from sayings such as iran prevent converts contrary to quran that says cant enforce religion on people, so iran is not islam it is radical like osama behind the proven fake 9/11. @housesolidor I am talking about the "constantly lying media of the cruel Islamic government of Iran"...Khomeini told lies and fooled people to get in the power...he set up hanging stations in every corner of Iran to kill people just for the sake of killing...don't get me wrong, I love this regime for killing the murderers and even the rapists...but for political reasons or conversion to Christianity...that's ultimate cruelty, and uncalled for.

@ameetis1 Allot of the arabic channels are against iran and pretty much all western media is against iran, so what constant lying media for the sake of islamic republic are you talking about? BBC said, in about 10 sec, that they did their own voting process in iran and found that the majority dont want ahmednejad? Now people like you who is ingulfed with hatred don't see the clear lying media whilst people who think understand that it is propaganda to make iran look evil so war can be justified
