  • the old glories of avantgarde, breathing passion, energy, bloodingsounds without

external pulse in a orgiastic form of Albert Ayler, Ornette, style.Old friends many years later of Golden Palominos,Nake City,Cobra and Pain killer. The same faces with more white in yours hairs but the same emotion of to say still alive.

Wonderfull video, doing abstraction of the saturation of sound. Thanks Shuffleboil.

  • Sorry the sound from the source is so overdriven- I would love to hear a pro recording job on this band.

  • 降臨!ミルフォード・グレイブスだ!!~歓喜とゆうかこれは狂喜乱舞~ジョン・ゾーンも、ビル・フリーゼルもいる、ドラム神のひとりだ!~もう降参します#jazzm

  • Frisell hasn't done this in awhile!!

  • Note to people video taping concerts- lower the input levels!!!!

  • Even through this mess of distortion I can distinguish what a stunning performance it was.

  • man, graves is a good drummer! he's just playing a tonne of very interesting stuff in a totally free context and he's keeping up the intensity. especially all the crazy stuff with the ride while playing an interesting pattern with that woodblock or whatever it is. Too bad the audio quality isn't the best because this is an awesome collaboration.

  • why i think this does work: when musicians are improvising like this, it is their opportunity to say, musically, "this is what i do and this is how i do it...and i am going to be a badass about it." laswell's tone has no treble because that's not how he plays...ever! that is not what bill laswell does. also, it does no good to compare musicians to others in this context. this performance is a rare example of musicians patiently listening to one another...the music changes at a very slow pace.

  • Sanders?!

  • why this doesn't work: because Bill and Zorn are playing electric Miles and Milford is playing Sanders. Then Zorn starts playing in step with Milford's erratic fully avant garde "rhythm" at about 6:30. It was just too muddy to hear Laswell, plus he doesn't use enough treble for this, thinks it's a dub gig. Anyway they're all excellent musicians.
