Bath Tai Chi demonstration 2006

We were asked to perform a demonstration of Tai Chi Chuan and related Chinese arts for BaNES Racial Equality Council as part of its Culture and Sport Mix day. We're pleased to say that the demonstration went without a hitch (well done to everybody who took part!). Here's a video clip showing some of the highlights from our demonstration.

A note on the beer bottle break: Ordinary beer bottles are emptied of beer (no sense in wasting beer!) and refilled with water. The cap is then replaced to show that this break is not caused by an increase in air pressure in the bottle. The bottle is then held by the neck in one hand and slapped on the top by the other palm. When done correctly (to demonstrate the correct delivery of force) the bottom bursts out of the bottle, leaving the sides intact.
