It's because you should never put a cockatiel in a round cage...they need corners to feel secure and the bars going horizontally I hope you have gotten him a new cage by now. Cute bird!.

well.....at least you didnt put that stupid mission impossible music its overplayed

And now he'll be doing that all the time... lol

Smart bird indeed, but everyone who watches this video: remember that cockatiels need bigger cages, and also corners, They like corners a lot xD

My brother's cocktail, Jenny, was doing this so we put zip-ties on the cage doors so she couldn't get out, but eventually, she was able to get the zip-ties off! Now we have small suitcase locks on it and a key to let her out, however, she's starting to understand how to get the locks off. Recently, she has pulled the key into her cage(it's hanging on the outside). We caught her in the act of trying to get the key in the hole. I doubt she'll be able to figure out how to get it in, though. :p

@Alaerhyn you think that's tiny? Mine...she can't do anything in that cage!
Cute birdie. Can't blame her for wanting to get out though. That cage is tiny for a cockatiel.

Not big enough for her to spead her wings safely, or safe if she has night frights, as cockatiels are prone too them. Plus, cockatiels are ground feeders, so need ample floor space.
