In Mexico this season, designer bulletproof fashion is a must-have. Here is haute couture for the violent metropolis.
In a country plagued by widespread insecurity and organised criminality, the rich face constant threats of murder and kidnap. Underpaid and often corrupt police forces can no longer cope. Since the state is failing to protect its citizens, Mexicans must find a way to do it themselves. 'In time, every one will need their own personal protection' says one designer. The future looks bright for bulletproof fashion.

Ok this is bullshit I'm 15 years old living in Mexico City it is completely safe police circle around every 1-2 hours Around all the neighborhoods and I haven't seen or heard gunshots in 3 years
