This portrait of the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland was painted over three days, during my spare time. Probably around six or seven hours total.

The technique is a little different from my other works. I don't usually start in black and white, but it gave me a nice chance to explore the lines and shapes. Her costume is an update on a design I did for a play version of Alice in Wonderland about eleven years ago.

Painted in Corel Painter IX with a Wacom Intuos Tablet.

  • The irony of the thing is awesome.

  • This is an amazing painting. Reminds me how much I have to improve myself..

  • Absolutely stunning my dear keep up the amazing work :)

  • this looks much more like maleficent from sleeping beauty in my opinion.

  • what kinds of brushes do you tend to use?

  • @RAVENEDD Computers software emulate tradition paint very well these days. To achieve the same quality in tradition painting would take x3 as long if not a lot more. No point.

  • Fantastic work of art love it.

  • thank you for posting! Your work is great and the video is very useful!
