Why would you say that? on the original recording, he plays it clean. I believe, on an acoustic guitar. Maybe live, he might use a little gain but, on F.U.C.K. it is very clean with a little chorus and reverb. How in the world could you possibly think this song was "amped up" or "gainy" at all?

Nice guitar..the trick to nailing the recorded version,which sounds like what you are going after with all that chorus,would be to use an Ernie Ball Music Man EVH model guitar...The Live Without a Net version of this ditty that he used to kick of his guitar solo then was done using the 5150 Kramer...

try chorus or slight flanging with the volume on your guitar turned down and your amp turned up. I like both of these tones! Love your "piece of shit" as eddie would say. keep shreddin'!
