The Chihuahua al Pacifico Railway (El Chepe) is one of North America's most scenic excursion railways. Completed in 1961 after 90 years of construction, the 400-mile/700-kilometer railway is an engineering marvel that passes through Copper Canyon, traverses 38 bridges and crosses 86 tunnels. At one point it makes a 180 degree turn inside a mountain! This vid documents segments of the journey.

  • I get that comment about Sheen quite a bit...El Chepe was a great trip. BTW, did you notice the automatic weapon the Federal policeman waved in the air as a "greeting" near the beginning of the video? Thanks for your note!
