do u unplug one of the speakers to better hear what the guitars are doing seperate? its hard to tell whats going on exactly

I usually open up the mp3 in Audacity (freeware), split the stero track and make both the sides mono. Then I just mute one of them.
Other than that I use Effect > Change Tempo to slow down the song and then it's all ear from there.

@GTaowa When you slow down the song does Audacity correct the pitch automatically? Otherwise what do you do?

@Fma1416 yeah if you just use the change tempo effect it automatically corrects the pitch.
