A speed up (x8) of actual PCB layout process done in Altium Designer Summer 09. This video has been recorded just to show a complete process of a PCB design and to demonstrate how much work an egineer does. More videos will follow as soon as i have more spare time. This is a audio board has quad audio inputs, dual audio outputs, serial connection to a pc by the means of usb, infra-red reciever, and a VFD display.

  • Sorry, I have to give this a thumbs down! There’re too many Errors? Your routes/Traces are not at 45 degrees. It’s the quickest current travels with less resistance. That’s why we do it this way. Also you continue to place Via’s under components? You never place Via’s under any component, Because it will explode at the board house. You are teaching, so I gave my two cents ;) Teach on! It's wonderful! I will add some videos also.

  • @vgoynes Thank you for your input. May I ask how much experience you have as a pcb designer? Since none of your statements makes any sense, at all. First of all, you cannot say "current travels", since per definition current - flow of charge. Angle of a trace above a plane has nothing to do with resistance it depends only on width of the trace. Vias under components does not make the board go boom. Have you heard of thermal vias in MSOP and TQFP/QFN packages?

  • спасибо! 5 лет на инженера, но навыки по разводке плат получаешь только в практике и по некоторым грамотным книгам.

  • what the music plays in this video?

  • @shooroopwork группа называется Triad, а трек - Last Gasp. На сайте простоплеера можно почти все их треки стянуть.

  • 90 degrees could, in some specific cases, compromise the mechanical strength of the tracks. And that's that. People that talks about bad signal transmission, ohmic res increase and stuff, really should stick with photoshop, cause pcb layout is not for them.

  • 90 degree traces = bad has been disproven for quite some time. It just doesn't look as neat as 45deg traces. I'm not speaking for RF.

  • мастерски же ты работаешь, долго учился? и самое главное - на чем (по книге или как)?
