  • "Detainee" sounds like some drunk locked up in a holding cell for 24 hours, so he gets sober, then released.

Being imprisoned with no due process for 7 years, is fucking gestapo, fascist shit.

  • Republican tough guys not feeling so tough now they're out on their ass. Still not making sense though, someones feelings on 9/11 has no relevance to anything if they had nothing to do with it or committed no crime.

  • Im just not a lemming drinking kool-aid....

  • You aren't experienced in logical debate, are you?

  • That's like saying there would be a conflict if a lawyer decided to do pro bono work for anti-WTO protesters. They're anti-corporate to a certain extent, or could be perceived that way. I still don't get his clarified point.

  • the absurdity of calling guantanamo "Gitmo" is overwhelming.. maybe you wou want to call Ausschwitz "Schwitzi" next time. really thats sick. Is this some sort of newspeak?

  • it just seems like the type of shit that you would jerk off too. Nothing to do with TYT.

  • Basically LionCome is saying that if you don't accept surrenders and harm or kill prisoners of war then enemy troops will:

    a) fight to the death instead of surrendering - this causes higher casaulties on the U.S. side too because fierce close combat may become necessary.

    b) mistreat, harm or kill captured U.S. soldiers.

The above arguments are the main ones made within the military about why it's a bad idea to violate the geneva convention.

There is also an argument on moral grounds too

  • Want what for our soldiers?
