If you want a really true rendition, try listening to Graham Pirt sing this - and any other Northeastern songs. I still love the Unthanks, mostly because they are keeping real music alive for a new generation.

Please get a listen to Terry Conway's original version. Infinitely better musicality and much more moving. I cannot get away with the Unthanks - I don't see any talent at all but maybe they are doing Terry a favour by publicising this beautiful song about our wonderful 'shire.
