These sharks were swarming at the safety stop at Barracuda Alley, which is about 10 miles off the coast of Little River / North Myrtle Beach, SC

  • The scariest part would be going above water and not being able to see where the shark was when you were swimming toward the boat

  • That is a sand tiger shark. Not a tiger shark. Sand tigers are not as dangerous and should be treated like a stray dog. Tiger sharks generally should be feared. They aren't super aggressive but are hungry/curious enough to take a bite out of anything they see.
