They didn't have the option of not participating. If they refused to kill those cars, they'd get fined 15 grand. I don't support the program either. I think it's the stupidest thing our gov has ever come up with. Hell, I can't find a good used truck for 2k anymore because all the good ones are long dead now, thanks to this shit.
At least these cars had a little fun before their death.
