He is calling for an appeal of the DOMA. It was originally suppose to back the 10th amendment state's rights clause but he said he saw it being abused and that is one of the many reasons he left the republican party and became a civil liberties activist(much with his own money). Why say things about a man who is really trying to fight for liberty?

His views on net-neutrality and government overreach are excellent. Then again, so are Ron Paul's.
Just remember that one issue does not make an otherwise scary candidate, suddenly awesome.

He also believes so much in marriage (and defending it as the author and sponsor of the Defense of Marriage Act) that he's been married THREE TIMES! Let's not destroy the integrity and sanctity of marriage by letting the gays marry!

McCain would probably say something stupid like "Yes, I'm familiar with BlackBerries. I really love BlackBerry pie"! McCain graduated number 894th out of 899 students for a reason! He's mentally lame. Has this become a prerequisite to hold the highest office in our Government? "Articulate" candidates are totally ignored or belittled, especially by the media! Barr is articulate and will probably be marginalized by the media! But there's no way I'll vote for "Lame-Brain McCain"!

Pelosi is right, there are a lot of issues that overlap with the leftists and libertarians.
I think those of us who hold civil liberties as one of our core issues should support Barr.
Obama has shown his lack of leadership on civil liberties issues when he refused to vote against FISA.
Keeping the internet free is another huge issue, if we let the government get it's little hooks into the net.
