Very usefull set of videos with a beautifully restored 301, I have just resurected mine from the loft in order to play my collection of vinyl Its unmodified in hamerite finish, I am looking for ideas and trying to find the difference between the hamerite models and white. Best regards John from Scotland
When you say it is slightly fast, remember you are not playing a modulated record. The broadcast decks were renowned for not being accurate till warmed up, at least 15 minutes running was required before being ready. Use a proper test record before altering the speed, but I guess you'll have already taken off the 5 thous.
