I have the solo scores for both Kreisler's arrangement and Tartini's original. If you're interested, message me in my inbox with your email address and I'll forward you the score files.

  • Wow this is so wonderful do you know were I can download the full piece

  • I'm not sure. I just ripped this from a CD collection I have.

  • I had the pleasure of seeing Shumsky when I was a teenager, and he was pretty old. Quite a few years ago now; and he did make a few technical mistakes, which always surprises when you hear the best players. But, the memory that stays with me is of remarkable music. An audience left feeling that they knew something of the chap, and a sense of joy.

  • Oh, how awesome! What did he play?

  • Actually Tartani had a hypogogic hallucination of the devil playing a song on a violin, he then tried to remake the song but the masterpiece he made he called it massively inferior to what the devil played.

    yay for history?

  • nicely copied directly from wikipedia...word for word lol

  • Thanks so much for uploading! The last couple of seconds of sound are damaged, would you be able to re-upload or re-rip? Either way, thanks.

  • Schumsky is one of the most inspiring musicians in my short-lived life. I listen to his playing of Giuseppe's pieces all day whether at work, at school, or in the car. He is truly an amzing force of music.

  • this has got to be my favorite rendition of the cadenza. simply brilliant and off the charts of level of mastery.

  • Did eny1 here read a strip Dylan Dog "Devils sonate"

    if you didn't,read it :) it's very good.....it's about Devil's Trill <333 LOVE IT!!!

  • ......i love this piece and it's beautiful..but my fingers are getting a hernia just listening to it 0o

  • @MysteriousStranger0 Petrucci Music Library probably has it.

  • @genmaximus110 I was joking, I played it anway ahah

  • @Amarynthine I wouldn't put too much superstition into it. Maybe it was the cereal he ate that morning.... It's sad all the same, but you can't let that stop you from playing a piece.

  • @kissatenchan must I read this comment when I'm about to play it???????

  • I like Kreisler's better
