In October 2008, a visiting videographer from St. Johns, Newfoundland, stayed with us for several weeks and graciously videotaped us in our home in Cebu City. We received the completed and edited video file in January 2009. Edited out of this final cut is our discussion on the exciting Christ-centered Chess Club we started in August of 2008 for the Deaf, which we hope is now extending into the National High School class for the Deaf in the new school year. Chess instruction has been made part of the school curriculum in the Philippines (2009 Memorandum #1, DepEd).

Hey! Great video! It made me thirsty for some of that Starbucks coffee you were drinking, Sterling. I wish we could have seen your kids on the video too. We know you are doing the Lords work and we'll pray for your family to continue to have strength. God Bless, and post some more videos- Molly and Adel

i love this! i look forward to someday working with the deaf in the philippines. it's awful to see though how undervalued the Deaf are, how overlooked they are in society. do you teach using Filipino Sign Language or ASL?
